Stories

So I’m a word person. I’m also a story person. Which means I write stories and I love it. Making them up in my head, chatting to my characters (or listening to them chat to each other), writing down what they say and what happens to them. It’s all good. I love my made-up people.

What I write. Right now? I write fan fiction, which is stories about other people’s characters, or real people. Mostly real people, for me. My “real people of choice” are the members of *nsync, a now-defunct American boyband. Go on; you’ve heard of Justin Timberlake, at least. Yeah?

Original stories. I’m branching out, into writing stories that are really mine, featuring characters that I’ve invented – instead of borrowing them from other writers or wholesale from reality. It feels different, bigger and scarier than writing fan fiction. But it’s also exciting.

Stories about love. That’s my theme, really. Which makes me a writer of romance – of a sort. The kind of love I write about is usually outside the norm in some way: a lot of it is queer, kinky, or otherwise unusual. Sometimes there’s sex, and sometimes there isn’t. I like my weird lovers, and I hope you will, too.

Want to read something? I’d love it if you wanted to read some of my stories! If you like long stories, why not try Flaming Ninja Waffles? Or for something a bit shorter, check out A History Lesson. They’re both *nsync fan fiction, so be prepared for Mr Timberlake to appear.

Feedback? Good or bad, I love it. Just drop me an email at lucy (at) lucyviret (dot) co (dot) uk. Thanks for reading!
