Comments
So you want to know about comments, huh? Cool. Here are some things to know about commenting on this site.
I love comments. Who doesn’t love to know that people are reading their blog? Out of people who write a blog, that is. Probably not many. So, yes. I love comments.
But you don’t have to comment. Really, it’s fine just to read. Of course it’s fabulous to get comments, but if you just want to hang out here, read the words, and wander off again? That’s totally cool with me. Comment if you feel like it.
You don’t have to be articulate. Or even grammatical. Hey; it’s the internet. I don’t mind if you ramble. Or if you write three words and misspell them all. Really, it’s fine.
You don’t have to know me. That’s why this place is public. I have places to express myself that are locked down to only people I choose. This place isn’t one of them: I keep my blog public for a reason.
I suck at responding to comments. There’s going to be a blog post about how much, some day. It’s not about you, it’s about me being crap. I did read it, and I will get back to you… at some point! (Then again, if you think I suck at comments, try emailing me. I’m far, far worse at email.)
Things I don’t love. The usual. Spam. Random people insulting me. Hating on stuff I love (or even, if we’re honest, stuff I don’t really know or care about; hating in general makes me sad). Anyone being mean to my friends. Drama, in any of the many forms it can take on the internets (not that I expect it here). Basically – don’t be an idiot, and we’ll be fine.
Happy commenting. See you around the blog! Or, as mentioned, maybe not. No pressure, remember?
